Look together at the Table of Contents and trace the pattern for each session by looking over Session 1 together. Notice that there are reflection essays for each monthly session. The format encourages you to read next month’s lesson ahead of time and bring a response piece to that session. If there are assignments, they will be listed in the package. There are action and practice steps for practice in the month of the seminar. Most actions include some options, ranging from relatively easy first steps to higher commitment “challenge” steps. Finally, each month will include the Lojong Slogans for the month drawn from Training in Compassion, by Norman Fischer.
