Marilyn Whitney is a graduate of Upaya Zen Center’s chaplaincy program, and was given lay ordination in 2013 by Roshi Joan Halifax. Since 2013 he has been working as an Interfaith Chaplain at Christus St. Vincent hospital in Santa Fe, NM, working exclusively with Cancer patients since 2017. She is a member of Upaya’s local sangha.
Marilyn is also a fiber artist of 40 years, and has been teaching and supporting students sewing a rakusu as part of Jukai preparation since 2012.
