Teaching on Our Lineage with Genzan Quennell

On Monday August 10 Genzan Quennell Sensei will teach us more about the White Plum Lineage.

The teaching will be on zoom and starts at 7:00pm Eastern Time and will take 1.5 hours

From Shakyamuni Buddha Daiosho – Bodaidaruma Daiosho – Eihei Dogen Daiosho – Koun Taizan Daiosho to  Baisen Tetsugen Daiosho
And from Mahaprajapati to Jishu Angyo Holmes

As practitioners of the Way, each of us owes an incalculable debt to our Ancestors, male and female, known and unknown. In this workshop you’ll meet some of these Ancestors and learn how to explore the lineage of the Buddha Way.

Genzan Quennell

A close dharma brother of Joshin Byrnes, Sensei (they received Tokudo and Transmission together), Genzan has been practicing zazen since 1991. He has taught meditation and buddhist practice in prisons, drug courts and recovery centers. Genzan currently resides in Kyoto, Japan where he hosts a weekly online study group called Tea with Dogen.

Meditation on Zoom: Everyday at 7:00 AM Eastern USA. 
On Saturdays and Sundays there will be a chant at 7:40am led by one of our novice priests.
