Join us for a 12-week course exploring the history and practice of Socially Engaged Buddhism. This study group focuses on the transformative role of Zen in the world, helping participants connect to the historical lineage of socially engaged practice.
We’ll examine the history and teachings of engaged Buddhism, emphasizing how the Buddhist ethic of care has been lived out over time. Each class includes meditation, reflection, study, and hands-on activities.
Through weekly readings, group discussions, and examples, participants will deepen their understanding of how Socially Engaged Buddhism and Community Zen are woven together. You’ll join a supportive cohort of spiritual friends for an engaging exploration of this vital aspect of our practice.
The course starts on Sunday February 9, 2025 and ends Sunday April 27, 2025
The time is 4:00 – 5:30pm Eastern Time.

Class size is limited to 25. The course is offered by donation, with a suggested amount of $300. You can give more or less, according to your means. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of ability to donate.
